About Guanacaste This Week

Guanacaste This Week (GTW) is a free email that lands once a week with what's on near you: events, new restaurants and openings, rentals and deals. We cover four areas: Coco & Papagayo (Playas del Coco, Playa Hermosa, Ocotal, Playa Panamá and the Papagayo Peninsula resorts), Flamingo & Potrero (with Brasilito, Conchal and Las Catalinas), Tamarindo & Playa Grande (with Langosta and Avellanas) and Liberia.

A lot of what happens here is announced in Spanish, on flyers, in group chats or on Facebook posts that are easy to miss. We gather it in one place, in English, area by area.

What we do for you

• We dig through ticket sites, venue pages, community calendars and local news, so you don't have to.
• Every listing links straight to its source, with the day, time, place and price when they're shared.
• If we can't confirm something, we flag it “check details”. Plans change, so give the venue a quick check before you go.
• Our picks are our own. If a business pays to be featured, you’ll see a Sponsored label.
